Christine Reber and Lisa Buss were special guests of the NMIH and given a private tour by Megan Pildis, who is their Development Coordinator. From the minute you walk up to the entrance, you are reminded of the large structure that once dominated this very ground. Walking through this museum brought back so many memories for me. As a child, I remember my father bringing my siblings and I to Bethlehem Steel and walking us through the plant showing us how Steele was made. Afterwards we would stop at Martin Towers and go to the tippy top to have lunch at the circular glass restaurant ... boy how things have changed.

EZ Micro Solutions is happy to support the No Child Left Behind event at Third Street Alliance.
No Child Left Behind is a community event and effort to help kids in need get a fresh start for the upcoming school year. This event is for all children K-12

EZ Micro Solutions donated lots of school supplies and backpacks to help these children with their first day back to school. Please join us on Monday, August 21st from 11:00 - 4:00 at Third Street Alliance if you’re able to donate school supplies or your time.

Each child will be able to get a fresh back to school haircut from a group of stylist and barbers from the Easton and surrounding area. Each child will receive new school supplies that will be donated from local businesses and people from our community.

Paul Mitchell USA is providing haircare products for each child to take home.

Snacks and beverages are being provide for the day by local restaurants and organizations. There will be games and activities throughout the day, DJ Brad Scott Smith will be spinning music, plus appearances by Riley the therapy dog and a few local mascots.

What an AMAZING young woman!

Wisconsin Company to Microchip Employees
By Angela Moscaritolo
The tiny, implantable RFID chips will let employees make purchases in the company's break room mini market, open doors, login to their computers, use the copy machine, and more.

Constantly misplacing your work badge? Workers at a Wisconsin company called Three Square Market (32M) may never have that problem again.

Wherever women gather together failure is impossible.
- Susan B. Anthony
Susan B. Anthony House, in Rochester, New York, was the home of Susan B. Anthony for forty years, while she was a national figure in the women's rights movement.

She was arrested in the front parlor after attempting to vote in the 1872 Presidential Election. She resided here until her death.

The house was purchased for use as a memorial in 1945, and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965. It has been documented in the Historic American Buildings Survey.

By Click2Houston.com Staff
As the new school year gets underway for students across the country, fourth-graders and their families will be granted free admission to national parks and other federal lands for a year.

This is part of the "Every Kid in a Park" initiative, which was created so these students could discover the nation's wildlife, resources and history for free.

All you need is a fourth-grade pass which is valid for the duration of the school year through the following summer, beginning in September and ending in August.

16 Ways to Create Your Own Happiness at Work
Dr. Travis Bradberry

Let's face it, happiness and work do not tend to go hand in hand. A 2013 Gallup study, which reported data from more than 180 million people, found that just 13% of us consider ourselves to be "happily engaged at work."

Those who do rate themselves as happy are 36% more motivated, six times more energized, and twice as productive as their unhappy counterparts.

Places to See - the River of Five Colors in Colombia

Caño Cristales, Meta Department, Colombia. Also known as the River of Five Colors, Caño Cristales is the most spectacular natural wonder in the country. Found in the mountain range of Serranía de la Macarena, the river mesmerizes with amazing colors: vivacious yellow, green, blue, black and red shades quiver from the bottom.

The Liquid Rainbow is caused by a unique phenomena: a red plant - Macarenia clavigera - growing in the riverbed. Other colors come from black rocks, green algae, blue water and yellow sand, producing an iridescent effect. The river also features waterfalls, pools and caverns, making it even more dramatic. Furthermore - there are no fish or other creatures, so visitors can enjoy uninterrupted bathing in Caño Cristales.

Did You Know?
The name of the city we call Bangkok is 115 letters long in the Thai language.

Unless talking to foreigners who don't know any different, Thais will never call their capital city Bangkok - indeed, some Thais in the more remote provinces may never have even heard of it being called that. Instead in Thai it is known as Krung Thep (กรุงเทพ), which roughly translates to 'City of Angels'. Bangkok (translating as 'village of wild plums') was the original site for the capital city and was located west of the Chao Phraya river (in modern day Thonburi).

rung Thep is actually an abbreviated version of the ceremonial full name, which is shown below.

In the official English romanisation, this is certified as the longest place name in the world in the Guinness book of records. It's pronounced something like:
Krung Thep Mahanakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amon Piman Awatan Sathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukam Prasit
